What we source
Parts we handle
Used engines
Complete engines, long blocks and drop-outs for petrol and diesel light vehicles. The variant is confirmed against your VIN before anything is quoted.
Used transmissions
Automatic, manual and CVT units. Programming requirements are identified up front, because a correctly-installed transmission that hasn't been adapted still shifts badly.
Powertrain components
Transfer cases, differentials, axles and driveshafts — the parts that fail alongside an engine or transmission and are cheapest to address at the same time.
Engine accessories
Turbochargers, superchargers, intake and exhaust manifolds, and the accessory-drive components that a long block doesn't include.
Process
How our parts finder works

- 01
You describe the vehicle
Year, make and model, plus the part you need. The VIN if you have it — it turns a shortlist into a single answer.
- 02
We identify the variant
A specialist works out which engine or transmission your specific vehicle takes, including the option codes that split a model year.
- 03
We source and quote
Part, condition, what's included, coverage and freight to your address — in writing, so you can compare it against anything else.
- 04
It ships to you
Palletised freight to your shop or address, with the documentation you need to inspect it properly on arrival.
Fitment
Why compatibility is more than year, make and model
Three details decide whether a part that looks right actually installs.
Engine option codes
Manufacturers frequently offer several engines in one model year. The VIN's eighth character identifies which one your vehicle left the factory with.
Generation boundaries
Platform changes break interchange even when displacement stays the same. A 2013 Explorer engine will not install in a 2010 one — the platform changed underneath it.
Drivetrain and packaging
Two- and four-wheel-drive versions can take different oil pans. Transverse and longitudinal installations of the same engine family are separate parts.
Freight
How shipping works
Engines and transmissions ship freight on a pallet, not by parcel carrier. Most deliveries are curbside to a commercial address, so a shop or a business with a forklift is the smoothest destination. Residential and liftgate delivery is usually possible and is quoted separately because it costs more.
Transit time depends on the source location and your destination, so it is confirmed on your written quote rather than promised in advance. Ask your specialist for the expected transit window before you commit — it is part of the quote, not an afterthought.
Inspect the pallet before you sign for it. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt at the moment of delivery; a clean signature makes a freight claim substantially harder to pursue.
Coverage
How warranty works
Coverage varies by the unit itself — its condition, mileage or hours, and the source it comes from — so the term is stated on your written quote rather than advertised as a single blanket figure. Get it in writing before you pay, and read what it covers as well as how long it lasts.
Two questions matter more than the length of the term. Does the coverage include labor, or the part only? And does it require the installation to be performed by a licensed shop with documentation? Those two answers decide what a claim is actually worth.
Keep your installation invoice, and follow the break-in and fluid requirements for the unit. Skipping documented maintenance is the most common reason a legitimate claim gets denied.

Answers
Frequently asked questions
Why do you ask for the VIN?
Because a single model year often offered several engines. On an F-150, four different engines could leave the factory in the same year and body style. The VIN's eighth character resolves that in seconds; without it, any quote is provisional.
What if I don't have the VIN?
Submit the form anyway with year, make and model. A specialist can usually narrow it from the trim, drivetrain and engine size, and will tell you exactly what else they need rather than guessing.
Do you supply the transmission as well?
Yes, and it is worth diagnosing which unit has actually failed first. Engine and transmission symptoms overlap more than people expect, particularly on CVT-equipped vehicles.
Is a used engine a sensible repair on an older car?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. Compare the total installed cost — engine, freight, labour, fluids and related parts — against the vehicle's value and the condition of everything else. A specialist should be willing to tell you when the numbers don't favour it.
How is the part shipped?
On a pallet by freight carrier, not by parcel. Delivery to a shop or commercial address with a forklift is simplest; residential delivery is usually possible with a liftgate and costs more.

Year, make and model is enough to start. A specialist confirms the rest.
