Shipping Policy
How parts are shipped, what you need at the receiving end, and how to handle a damaged delivery.
Last updated 13 August 2026
Freight, not parcel
Engines, transmissions and marine drives ship on a pallet or in a crate via freight carrier. They are not shipped by parcel carrier.
This means a delivery appointment window and a need for suitable equipment at the receiving end, rather than a doorstep delivery.
Delivery locations
A commercial address with a loading dock or forklift is the simplest destination, which is why many customers ship directly to the installing shop.
Residential delivery is generally available with a liftgate at additional cost, and you will still need a means of moving a palletised unit once it is on the ground. Terminal collection is often available if you can collect with suitable equipment.
Freight charges and transit time
Freight is quoted for your specific shipment based on the source location, your destination and the delivery type, and is stated on your written quote before you commit.
Transit time depends on the same factors and on the carrier's network. It is confirmed on your quote rather than advertised as a general figure. Ask your specialist for the expected transit window before accepting.
Inspection at delivery
Inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt. Check for crush damage, a shifted or leaning load, torn wrap, punctures, fluid on the pallet and damage to the crate.
Note any damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery and photograph it. If you cannot inspect properly, note that the shipment is accepted subject to inspection rather than signing clean.
Damage claims
Signing a clean delivery receipt is documentary evidence that the shipment arrived undamaged and makes a subsequent freight claim substantially harder to pursue.
If damage is discovered, contact us immediately with your reference number and photographs so a claim can be started promptly. Freight claims are time-sensitive.
Delivery outside the contiguous United States
Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii and locations outside the contiguous United States may be available on request and are quoted individually. Ask before ordering.
